We have three ways you can help Hanakehau Learning Farm and make a difference:
Volunteer work days:
We regularly schedule volunteer workdays for folks to come on out and get your hands dirty. We kako`o our friend and mentor Kaleikoa Ka`eo’s sentiment that, before we get the land back to Hawaiians, we need to get Hawaiians back to the land. So, if you’re interested in participating in our La Hana days, contact our coordinator at (808) 864-2336.
We’re always on the lookout for tools and equipment to manage and maintain the `aina. If you have tools you don’t need or want anymore, we take ’em.
-gardening tools (rakes, hoes, shovels, etc.)
-gas-powered post-hole digger
-lumber (especially plywood)
Like any other non-profit, or non-profit hopeful, monetary donations are always helpful!
